Working on a freely available OPNSense plugin called Go With The Flow. The point was to be able to see what’s going on my local network, but also be able to block traffic (devices) and domains (websites) on a schedule. Stop kids using devices at night on school days, and stop them accessing dodgy websites (sometimes on a schedule, sometimes outright).
What’s also interesting is to see just how much our devices talk to remote servers, stuff you wouldn’t expect. And how (IMHO) badly behaved mobile and IoT devices are about not closing connections properly.
